Rules
In Craps there is always a ‘Shooter’ – the player who rolls the dice. This job is passed around the table after rounds of betting are completed. The first roll on of each round is called the Come Out Roll. This roll determines the ‘Point’ number. When the point number is rolled this essentially ends a round. Also, if a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled on the Come Out Roll the round also ends. Below we’ve listed a few of the most common bets in Craps:

Line Bets: Pass Line: To win on a Pass Line bet the shooter needs to roll a 7 or 11 on the Come Out roll.

Don’t Pass Line: To win on a Don’t Pass Line bet the shooter needs to roll a 2 or 3 on the Come Out roll.

Come: Made after the Come Out roll and wins on a 7 or 11.

Don’t Come: Made after the Come Out roll and wins on a 2 or 3.

On the Come/Don’t Come bets, if neither a winning or losing number is rolled then another point is established. Rolls continue until the point is rolled in which case the round ends.

Single Roll Bets: These bets will win if the shooter rolls what the bet entails. Single roll bets include 2 (Snake eyes), 3 (ace-deuce), 11 (or Yo), 12, 2 or 12 (hi-lo), Any Craps (2, 3 or 12), C&E (half bet on Craps (2, 3 or 12) and the other on Yo) and 7. These are only some of the Single Roll bets available.

Multi-Roll Bets: Multi-roll bets are not settled on the first roll. Some Multi-roll bets include Hard Way (a 4, 6, 8 or 10 before a 7 is rolled where both dice show identical values – called Hard Way i.e. a 2 and 2 would be a hard way 4), an Easy Way (opposite of a hard way bet) and Big 6 and Big 8 (rolling a 6 or 8 before a 7).

Strategy
There’s a lot of variety of strategy to choose from when playing Craps but always remember this are not a surefire way to win. A few tips we can give is to begin playing conservatively keeping to the easier bets like the Pass and Don’t Pass Lines. Also, check out what other players are doing at the table or, if you are playing online do some research and reading. There are lots of sites available for training. Also check out some of the free play casinos to practice your skills. In terms of statistics, always remember that the 7 and 11 are the easiest numbers to roll on the dice so place your bets accordingly. Finally, increase your bets when you are winning and decrease them when you are losing.
