The basic premise of craps is to bet on the outcome of dice.

There are many types of available bets in Craps. Some bets are only available for the Come Out Roll, some bets only once Point is established. Point is established if the Come Out Roll is either 4,5 6, 8,9 or 10. The number rolled is called Point and the next roll is called the Point Roll. Players continue Point Rolls until a 7 or the Point is rolled. Once this happened, the game starts again with the next roll being the Come Out Roll.

The most popular bets are the Pass Lines and Don't Pass bets. A Simple Pass Line bet works like this – you place yur bet in the middle of the band labelled Pass Line. If the shooter rolls a 7 or a 11, you win and if he rols a 2, 3 or 12 you lose. Any other number rolled becomes the point number. After the Come Out Roll, the player wins if Point is rolled before a 7 is rolled. The Player loses if 7 is rolled before the Point is rolled.

The Don't Pass Bet also known as the Black Line Bet works like this:

If the Come Out Roll is 2 or 3 the player wins. If a 7 or 11 is rolled, the player loses. If a 12 is rolled, it's a Tie. If a 4,5,6,8,9,10 is rolled, that becomes the point number. If a 7 is rolled before the point number is establised, the player wins. The player loses if point is rolled before a 7.
